Hey all,

Here are the minutes for the Interact session.

Interact Session
Term 3, Week 10

Date: 29th August 2007
Time: 3 p.m. to 4:45 p.m.
Venue: Secondary 1 classroom

Girl Gems Concert:
In charge- Syafiqah, Syafina, Nadiah, Siti

Evaluation

Good aspects:

- Very enjoyable as the performances were entertaining. All the participating groups were efficient.
- Everything was cleared up; therefore Madam Khoo was not hassled.
- Interactors made it enthusiastic and the celebrities afforded hype to the event. Therefore, next year’s Interactors should definitely participate in the Citibank YMCA project.

Areas for improvement:

- There should have been more full dress rehearsals because there were a lot of last minute preparations.
- A time plan should have been made up so as to organise better.

Singapore Innovation Fund (SIF):
In charge- Steering committee

Preparation is to be done in the holidays and must be ready by January.

Be Yourself Day:
In charge- Syaheerah, Jolene, Sarah, Inez.

No tank tops, tubes, spaghetti straps, shorts, slippers and sandals are allowed. Skirts must be knee length. However, long earrings are allowed. The print-out with this information will be put in all class mailboxes on Thursday. An announcement will also be made on the same day. Those who have not paid yet will have to pay $4 on Thursday.

SHINE project update:
In charge- Kah Min, Tracy, Li Xin, Soek Yern, Ya Ying

Will be held in mid-October, after the final year examinations. It will also be before Hari Raya.
Secondary 1 Orientation:
In charge- Chashna, Yi Ai

This year’s Secondary ones will be buddies to the new batch of Secondary one students.

CCA Promotion Day:
In charge- EXCO

Teachers’ Day Competition:
In charge- Jaslyn, Joy

An announcement will be made during the Teachers’ Day Celebrations. The money that has been collected amounts to about $70.

Year-End Evaluation:

Good aspects:

- Girl Gems Concert
- Interact Installation
- Secondary 1 Orientation
- More recognition for Interact club within the school community

Areas for Improvement:

- Lack of bonding
- Regular Service was late and rather unclear this year

Hopes for next year:

- More bonding
- More activities or projects involving the whole club
- More CIP projects

Projects to continue:

- BP Mentoring
- YMCA Citibank project
- Girl Gems Concert

Projects to discontinue:

- Volunteering at Macpherson Moral Family Service Centre as it is not enriching

Ways to raise our club profile:
- More competitions
